On October 23, 2024, we partnered with the LA Council District 1 Office and local organizations to host a free community event with a movie screening, dog adoptions, and family-friendly activities.
For our Pet Adoption + Movie Night event, we partnered with the LA Council District 1 Office (Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez) to host a free outdoor movie screening for the community.
Angel City Football Club provided an engaging activation for the kids, while attendees enjoyed complimentary snacks, drinks, and delicious food from Chef Diego Argoti.
LA Animal Services brought shelter dogs from the North Central Animal Shelter available for adoption. With the animal adoption theme in mind, we selected The Secret Life of Pets 2 as our movie, projected on a large outdoor screen.
The evening also featured a fun raffle. Additionally, several organizations were in attendance, including the Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team (SMART), and attendees were provided resources from Chinatown Library, LADOT, Healing Urban Barrios, Alma Family Services, and Soledad Enrichment.
