In 2023, our Back to School Event empowered foster youth in Los Angeles by preparing them for the new school year with haircare and school supplies.
Our Back To School Event, organized in partnership with CASA LA, empowered foster youth by providing age-appropriate school supplies and essential haircare services. Many attendees had textured hair, which posed a financial challenge for their foster families. By offering these services for free, we boosted their confidence as they prepared for the school year. The event, which served youth aged 0 to 21, alleviated financial burdens for foster families and ensured these young individuals had the tools and support to succeed academically.
